I’m Casleah (CASS-LEE-AH), a Certified Sommelier and Diploma holder with the WSET (Level 4) with a vast array of experiences in the wine industry. I love all things wine, food and travel. I have found my home in Ventura, CA. I love supporting the wine and food scene, small businesses and beyond here on the beautiful Central Coast of California!

MY STORY

I’ve worked as a floor sommelier for a Michelin Star chef in Los Angeles, hosted sold out events throughout the Napa Valley, I’ve been a Brand Ambassador for a New Zealand winery and even created my own wine - a Pinot Noir and Rose called ‘Casleah Wine’. During the pandemic I started a business for virtual wine tastings and was featured in the Huffington Post for “Best Virtual Wine Tastings to Attend.” I hosted wine tastings for several large corporations such as Google, Snapchat, Oracle and Disney.

I received the top score and Walter Clore Scholarship when I completed my sommelier certification through the Court of Master Sommelier (CMS) and in 2023, I completed level 4 of Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET) a rigorous 3 year program with 6 exams and blind tastings of 18 wines! I even got to attend my graduation in London!

Growing up in Michigan, I would visit my grandparents who lived on a vineyard and we had concord grapes in our backyard growing up. Wine has always been a big part of my life! I got my college degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant. After getting married and moving to Kansas City, I would spend my days taking care of patients and my evenings working in a local wine shop. I certainly never expected to shift from a 10 year career in healthcare into a full time career in the wine industry, but look how fun life is; throwing me the unexpected and wonderful.

Now my passion lies in helping restaurants find that perfect wine for their list, managing a wine sales team across central California, traveling to wine regions across the globe, and building an Instagram community of likeminded food and wine enthusiasts.
